New Release Announcement - DFDL4S++ Library v1.0

Version 1.0 of the DFDL4S C++ Library has been released and can be downloaded here.

DFDL4S++ is a C++ library providing a sub-set of the methods exposed by the DFDL4S Java library. DFDL4S is a generic binary data binding library written in Java and based on the Data Format Description Language (DFDL), see more details here

An update consolidation Java and C++ API, documentation and examples is planned for May 2018

New S2G schemas for MTG and S5 released

The following new missions are now supported by S2G data Viewer:

- Sentinel-5      X-band   data
- MTG               Ka-band  data

and the following DFDL schemas have been updated :

- Sentinel-2 (added description of ISP data fields for telemetry STR and AOCS)
- Sentinel-3 (added description of ISP data fields for all instruments)
- EarthCARE (added description of ISP data fields)

 To ensure they are downloaded, ensure that automatic update mode is enabled within S2G or download them from the S2G page.

openSF workshop held at ESTEC on the 23-01-2018

The ESTEC openSF team, in collaboration with the development team of Deimos Space, has held on the 23rd Jan 2018 a workshop for users (already or potential) of openSF.

The workshop has covered the following aspects:

• General presentation of End-to-End (E2E) simulators;
• Presentation/demonstrations of openSF Framework - General aspects;
• Presentation/demonstrations of openSF Framework - Special/specific cases and advanced features;
• Training session.

New Release Announcement - OpenSF v3.7.1

Version 3.7.1 of OpenSF has been released and can be downloaded here.

New Features

• Logging: a separate log file is created for each session and is saved in the session directory
• Terminology harmonisation: the term 'module' is used instead of 'model'
• New DB creation at openSF installation: prompt before overwriting data
• OSFI: Delivered as buildable source code
• OSFI: Upgraded xerces to 3.2.0 and Fortran 2003

Corrections

• ANR-091: Freeze on startup (Spinning Wait Cursor appears on Mac) if network not connected
• ANR-090: OSFI, Fortran API: command line arguments not properly parsed
• ANR-077: Edit, Product Tools: all buttons are disabled
• ANR-066: Tool startup with DB access problem
• ANR-064: Session execution gets stuck when Global Configuration File does not exist
• Problem with "delete" DB command: the command no longer disconnects the current DB
• Problem with "backup" DB command: the command backs up the _selected_ DB, not the connected one
